Amrut Fusion
Recommended
Amrut Distillery
Bengaluru / Bangalore • Indian Single Malt Whisky • 50% ABV
Amrut Fusion brings together two very different whisky traditions, combining Indian barley grown around the Himalayan foothills with peated barley from Scotland. The two are mashed and distilled separately before being matured in American oak in Bengaluru and eventually brought together.
Bottled at a robust 50% ABV, Fusion balances Amrut's rich, intensely malty character with warming peat smoke, oak, spice and sweetness. The combination of Indian and Scottish barley gives the whisky its name and creates a distinctive style that helped bring international attention to Indian single malt whisky.

Our Take
I really like the uniqueness of Amrut’s Indian whisky, and Fusion brings that character together with gentle peat, oak and spice. A little water opens up the spices, but if peat isn’t your thing, try the Amrut Cask Strength for a much bolder expression of that distinctive Indian character.
