Craigellachie 13

Recommended

Craigellachie
Speyside • Single Malt • 46% ABV

Craigellachie 13 Year Old offers a distinctly different take on Speyside. Rather than the lighter, fruit-driven style often associated with the region, Craigellachie is known for producing a weightier and more muscular spirit, shaped in part by its traditional worm tub condensers.
Bottled at 46% ABV, the 13 Year Old combines orchard fruit and malt sweetness with spice, oak and a distinctive savoury character. It's an interesting example of just how varied Speyside whisky can be, with a style that deliberately retains some of the distillery's heavier character.

Our Take

There’s something distinctly different about Craigellachie 13, with dried fruit, sweet banana and citrus alongside a character that stands apart from a typical Speyside. A great choice for the whisky-loving friend who’s tried all the usual suspects.
